La regi\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n es conocida como \u00a0el \u00c1rea Natural Protegida de \u201cPe\u00f1a Alta\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el municipio \u00a0se construyeron las\u00a0 haciendas de la Noria de Alday, Ojo Ciego, San Juan Pan de Arriba, la Sauceda y la Jaula, dignas de ser visitadas.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la Hacienda de Ojo Ciego existe un campamento de verano, que puede albergar a 110 personas, cuenta con una cancha de futbol, b\u00e1squetbol, voli pleyero, go-cars, \u00a0bicicross, galer\u00eda de tiro con rifle, de tiro con arco y pista de comandos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tiene un teatro, discoteca, alberca, sal\u00f3n de juegos y cafeter\u00eda, infraestructura que es disfrutada en campamentos escolares, de instituciones, en retiros o fiestas de graduaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las autoridades estatales y municipales restauran la Plazuela Ju\u00e1rez, el Camer\u00edn de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Rosario, la Capilla del Biscocho y el Santuario de Guadalupe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTodas estas obras presentan un importante avance donde la inversi\u00f3n es de 5.5 millones de pesos\u201d, coment\u00f3 el secretario de Turismo, Fernando Olivera.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El municipio de San Diego de la Uni\u00f3n fue fundado en 1718 por don Manuel Mar\u00eda de Torres, con el nombre de Pueblo de Bizcocho .En 1875 \u00a0el gobernador del estado, el General Florencio Antill\u00f3n le otorg\u00f3 el t\u00edtulo de villa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De la ciudad de Le\u00f3n los visitantes tienen que viajar a Guanajuato, pasar por Dolores Hidalgo y tomar la carretera a San Luis de la Paz.
