Sorprendentemente, tambi\u00e9n persiste en peque\u00f1as cantidades en los adultos y puede crecer hasta convertirse en los dos tipos de c\u00e9lulas principales del h\u00edgado adulto (hepatocitos y colangiocitos) que le dan propiedades similares a las c\u00e9lulas madre.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo examin\u00f3 los HHP y descubri\u00f3 que se parecen a las c\u00e9lulas madre de ratones que reparan r\u00e1pidamente el h\u00edgado de esos animales despu\u00e9s de una lesi\u00f3n importante, como ocurre en la cirrosis.<\/p>\n<p>Amplia gama de aplicaciones<\/p>\n<p>Tamir Rashid, autor principal del estudio e integrante del Centro de C\u00e9lulas Madre y Medicina Regenerativa del Colegio Real de Londres, explic\u00f3: por primera vez, encontramos que las c\u00e9lulas con verdaderas propiedades similares a las madre pueden existir en el h\u00edgado humano.
